The Royal Dutch Shell, popularly known as Shell ( in English, "shell, leaflet" ») is an oil company created in 1907 by the merger of the Dutch N. V . Koninklijke Nederlandse Petroleum Maatschappij (known in English as "Royal Dutch Petroleum Company") and the English Shell Transport and Trading Company Ltd ("Valvas Limited Company of Transport and Trade"). Precisely the latter had started its business as an importer of leaflets and seashells for collectors, which were fashionable in nineteenth-century England, to later become a company for the transport of goods, oil and oil; and the new company kept the original logo (with some stylization) showing a scallop leaflet (Pecten maximus) to which they gave the red and yellow colors representative of American California (which was Spanish possession and had the colors of its flag) where the oil wells were. This phrase is actually an advertising slogan used in Spain by a now defunct Catalan restaurant franchise called Bocatta. It was associated with a television spot in 2003 where the hardness of the work on the farms was shown in an ironic and cartoonish way, to end with the image of their products already in the restaurant's exhibitors and with the phrase "Stay only with the best of the field". But this case remained in the history of Iberian advertising when the Union of Peasants of Catalonia and the Valencian Association of Farmers filed a complaint and even initiated a boycott of the chain because they denigrated the image of rural workers 128530; . And finally the advertising had to be removed from the air by the pressure.

Droste® is a food company of Dutch origin (currently has its plant in Vaassen) whose best known product is chocolate powder for cup. While it is a traditional brand since the late nineteenth century, its name became more popular thanks to the so-called droste effect on its classic cocoa container with the figure of the nana (or nurse), surely inspired by the painting La belle chocolatière by Jean-Étienne Liotard. The company was changing partners and owners, and today is an independent business unit owned by the multinational Hosta Group.

It is a brand of chewing gum originally produced in the US by Thomas Adams Jr. at the end of the nineteenth century with the name of Adams New York Gum, although by 1899 it was already marketed with the Chiclets brand, which exists until today. The name is taken from the Nahuatl tzictli, which is what they called the Sapota Zapotilla tree from where the resin was extracted for its manufacture, until in the mid-twentieth century it was already produced synthetically.
