hombriega
  7

In a dictionary it should be defined as the "feminine of man", but this adjective has historically been directed to women, and only since the end of the twentieth century (sporadically) to gays. It is a construction based on womanizer ("donjuan, casanova, fond of seducing women") using the noun man (in this case as "male") and the relationship suffix -iego, for a "lady who conquers men without a sentimental commitment". There is a version such as "hombreriega" with a questionable construction.

hombreriega

Although it would be the feminine of manriego, in reality the term aimed at women was coined and only when the gay collective became visible did it begin to be used in the masculine for "someone fond of seducing men for informal relationships", as a variation of womanizer for the other gender. Of course it must have been "manly", but that version was published in Argentina already in the middle of the twentieth century and became popular because it sounded more understandable. Ver hombre ( in its meaning of "male" ) , suffix -iego .

rhythm and blues

It is a musical genre that appeared in the 1940s in the United States from gospel and blues with a strong influence of jazz, but less elitist, and that was adapted according to the time and the market. Perhaps the difference with previous genres of African-American music is the appearance on the scene of more electric instruments, which made it the germ of rock and roll. It is abbreviated as R B. See english/blue.

pop

It is an apocope of "popular", and at first it was used as the name of a broad musical genre that was considered far from cultured music, or more elaborate, or elitist, and closer to folklore, from danceable and melodic rhythms for more commercial than artistic purposes. Today it also includes other cultural or traditional genres, often related to consumer products that became popular.

rock

It is a musical genre of many variants that appeared in the mid-twentieth century with a strong rhythmic base and the use of electric instruments. Heir to rhythm and blues, it was known from the beginning as rock and roll ("shake and roll", used in nautical), which was a recurring phrase in its lyrics and had a sexual meaning, which was lost over the years and today only refers to the music remembering the movements of the dance, not even those of a boat in the waves.

blues

It is a typically American musical genre with black roots, originating in the songs of slave laborers. The word blues in English is understood as "sadness, melancholy", and then became the vocal style with a very characteristic type of interpretation with the so-called "blue note". See rhythm and blues, english/blue.
