In the ancient world, glossography consisted of interpreting obscure and obsolete words and phrases, antiquated and foreign to the language of the time, either because they were distant in time or because they were expressions used by other peoples. gurupa
  9

In Puerto Rico, Gurupa is the piece that is tied or interwoven to the rig (a single piece with the rig) that is placed under the tail of a horse, mare, donkey, donkey, etc. to prevent the mount from sliding to the front when there are downhills on the trails. This piece is made with a rope which is "upholstered" with some cloth or other soft material so that it does not hurt the beast when it surrounds under its tail in the form of a lasso.
