todología

Todology, the fashionable science "Todologists have invaded the journalistic media and every day it is more difficult to find spaces for reflection that serve to improve the perception of the citizen on transcendental issues. A todologist says the RAE is "Person who believes he knows and masters several specialties". Perhaps the Greek or Roman classics used this unofficial word to define people who had great intelligence and hoarded great knowledge in different subjects. The Mexican lawyer, politician, writer and philosopher, José Vasconcelos Calderón wrote in the fifties a book called Todología. With the word todología, the Mexican intellectual designated "the paths that lead to the harmony of total knowledge, which are the study of philosophy, theology, ethics and aesthetics". Todology begins to affect in Spanish journalism people with great talent who seem to pursue a place of honor in the Olympus of Todologists. That they scrutinize reality with hints of opportunism without realizing that exercising allology is the easiest way to crash although it may be temporarily confused with stardom. Where can I enroll in Todology? At which university is it studied? Do you have many career opportunities? Do we propose a campaign "Sponsor a todologist"?
