It is one of the ways to call a type of Amazonpalm, It is also called palm seje, milpesos, unamo, ungurahua, patabá or patauá. Its scientific name is Oenocarpus bataua ( or Jessenia bataua ) and belongs to the family Arecaceae. Patuá (in French patois) is a linguistic variety, mostly asanistic, from the French language.
