Fabulous animal of classical mythology. It was one of the many monsters begotten by Typhoon and Echidna. Its Greek name was 935; 953; 956; 945; 953; 961; 945; ( Khimaira ) and the Latin, Chimaera. The phrase " chasing a chimera " refers to look impossible ( because it is a non-existent animal ).
