Photic says of the illuminating surface of the seas and oceans ( phos photos, light Greek ) in which is possible to photosynthesis because it comes the sunlight up to something more than 200 meters. You still the area disfotica in which there are light each time more blurred until a km of depth in which not is possible the photosynthesis. Nor is possible in the area aphotic, without light, in which not is possible the life plant but yes the animal.
