State governed by tsars as the Russian tsardom, official name of the Russian State from the Czar Iván IV in the 16th century to Pedro I the great in the 18th, although this name, derived from the latin ( Caesar ) continued to exist in popular language. The tsardom was an absolute monarchy, as the Tsar controlled the political power, economic and religious. Starting with Pedro I the great renamed only by the Empire.
