ostiopenia is incorrectly written, and should be written as "osteopenia" being its meaning: Word of Greek origin, from osteou osteon: bone and penia penias: poverty, lack. It is the loss of bone mass in less alarming levels as in osteoporosis. The causes can be manifold: in addition to genetic factors, may be due to disturbances in the power, certain infections, as the HIV, chemotherapy, etc.
