Meaning of napia by furoya

furoya

napia
  11

It is a vulgar way of naming the nose, widely used in lunfardo although it is not exclusive to the speech of the River Plate. It refers especially to a large nose and does not have a clear etymology; There is in Genoese the word nappia with the same meaning, which some suppose to be a feminization of the caló naquí, nacrí or ñacle ("nose") with a gypsy suffix '-apia'.
