It is also called Phlegethon or Flaminger. Who produces fire, flaming fire. In Greek mythology it was a river composed of boiling blood, named in The Aeneid, by Virgil and in the Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. It was made up of the blood of tyrants, murderers, thieves, and sinners.
