It is a Mexicanism for "cagatintas", "leguleyo", "rábula", "tinterillo", a "bad lawyer, who in many cases does not even have an enabling title". The name originates from the Nahuatl huixachi ("thorny"), for the acacia huisache from whose fruits ink was obtained for writing.
