Feminine of hylemorphic, from the Greek hyle, matter and morphé, form. Adjective: relative to the Aristotelian hylemorphic theory or theory of matter and the way in which Aristotle wanted to solve the previous philosophical problems, specifically the Heraclitus-Parmenides antinomy that made it difficult to explain changes and plurality in nature.
