Fruit of the jinjolero or jujube. It is a type of exotic fruit that is also known as red date or jujuba. Other ways to call it are jujube, azofaito, jínjol, zaozí, Chinese date or chichourle. It is a medium and thorny tree. Its scientific name is Zizyphus jujuba and it belongs to the Rhamnaceae family. The fruit is sweet and with it jams are prepared.
