THERMAL PASTE silvery gray matter that is applied to the processor before installing a cooling solution. It allows efficient heat transfer from the IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader) of the processor to the base plate or liquid block of the CPU cooler (central process unit). It is, in general, a means of heat dissipation that facilitates transfer when there are irregularities in surfaces.
