PREVALENCE is the abusive action of taking advantage in the commission of a crime of their superiority, trust or prestige with respect to the victim to facilitate the commission of the crime. Prevalence is an aggravating circumstance of a crime, this means that it will carry a greater penalty than if in the commission of the crime there had been no prevalence.
