BLACK BREECH or berezo is the common name of the bushes and shrubs, sometimes arborescent, of the Ericaceae family with numerous and persistent leaves. Black Berezo may refer to one of two shrubs: Erica australis or Erica cinerea. I lean more towards the latter because its pedonym is ashen heather
