IKAT Best preserved artisanal technique, intangible heritage of Ecuador, used for the manufacture of gualaceo macanas or gualaceo cloths, (province of Azuay, canton of Ecuador). Its name comes from the Malay meaning rope, thread, fabric, head cloth.
