DEADNAMING English word derived from dead , dead and naming, appointment, designation and that means to use the name that a transgender person had before acquiring their new registry sex. The term was first used by Chelsea Manning, who released thousands of secret Documents from the United States, in a journalistic video interview, when the journalist names her as Bradley, who was her name in the army, before the record change.
