ARENA PULGAS In Chile is a beetle that is located on the beaches and that emerges from the sand when the waters are removed, reburied. It measures about 2 to 3 cms and is harmless. 2 . In tropical regions the tunga penetrates a flea of less than 1 mm is thus called the tunga penetran. which penetrates the skin, particularly the feet, producing tungiasis.
