In Colombia it is one of the common names of a venomous snake. It is also called cocoa, parrot, bell, yellow cordon, tree equis, eyelash viper or cold earth viper. In Central America it is also called bocaracá or crótalo cuckold. Its scientific name is Bothriechis schlegelii and belongs to the family Viperidae .
