Latinism used in different fields such as music, medicine, research or even in film scripts. From the Latin noun libitum, whim, will, craving, taste : At will, to personal taste, as everyone seems, at one's own discretion, however one wishes, without tax criteria. He frequently appears in musical scores (in Italian to piacere) in front of his anonymity obbligato. Its abbreviated form is ad lib .
