Aciguatarse or ciguatar is a form of poisoning produced by the consumption of fish typical of coral reefs. Contract the cigatera or ciguata . The poisoning is due to the presence of toxins (maitotoxin and ciguatotoxin), which enter the trophic chain by dinoflagellates that live in detritus and in the macroalgas of the reef.
