It is a type of shark of large dimensions and living at great depths. It is found in various parts of the Caribbean Sea and tropical seas. Its scientific name is Hexanchus griseus and belongs to the family Hexanchidae . The scientific name means six gills. They're lonely and sometimes scavengers. It can be more than 6 meters. A relevant characteristic of the number of gills is that it lacks a dorsal fin. They're very primitive.
