Meaning of mojicón by Danilo Enrique Noreña Benítez

Danilo Enrique Noreña Benítez

mojicón
  9

In Colombia it is a kind of sweet bread. It is usually round or threaded and is coated with a layer of white sugar. In most cases inside the dough carries guava sandwich or fruit crystals. My grandfather said that the name was because before or inserted in the oven, the mojicon was wet or moistened with milk or water, so that the sugar that was sprinkled, adhered to the dough.
