The origin of the name is Celtic voice alauda or arauda, which was built by the Romans during their conquests as alaudula ("alondrina, diminutive form of Lark") leaving the original alauda for scientific texts, and that she was then returned to the East d the Empire where it evolved into the Spanish lark.
