So disparagingly call the caftan or caften, a kind of jacket and above all long coat that used to use the Polish immigrants in Buenos Aires at the beginning of the 20th century. As many of them dealt with managing brothels, the slang popular in a clear example of Synecdoche began to call the ruffian by their dress. Scholars of lunfardo also associated with the Venetian Word caftan fiolo (boy).
