It means very thick soup. It is also a typical dish in Colombia, but in two different versions: in Antioquia is corn cooked with milk in other regions call peto (Bogota) and another dish of the same name but very different of Boyaca, which in essence is a soup of different beads. It can also mean mazacote, goop, very thick, wash.
