It is the genus of some endemic birds of Colombia, called popularly known as matraqueros, dancers, or jumping. The word means little pretty thing. The species is Manacus vitellinus and belongs to the family Pipridae. There are other species that are found throughout South America, and the most common is the name scientific is Manacus manacus, receiving the name of manaquines or jumping.
