It is a Latin word which means fruit. In Greek mythology was one of the hours, daughter of Cloris and Zephyr (Breeze). The goddess of fruits and the personification of the summer is considered. Anatomy is a part of the upper extremity, composed of eight small bones that make up the wrist. Carpus or tent, is also the name of a fish of the family Cyprinidae, commonly, whose scientific name is Cyprinus carpio.
