by astonishment is incorrectly written and it should be written as "Not by no means" being its meaning: I believe that the phrase referred to is " By no means ". We use it in Colombia, and it is similar to " Neither of 34 risk;. It means that we would never do it, there is no chance of that happening. Never, ever.
