They are the fruits of the tree of the Pomarroso. Its scientific name is Syzygium jambos and belongs to the family Myrtaceae. Although it is of Asian origin, was introduced into America by the Spaniards, became naturalized, and is currently an invasive species, especially in Cuba. Its fruits are a few balloons, sweet, soft and flavored with roses. Its flowers are in a corymb.
