In some villages in the interior of the island of Puerto Rico ( e.g., Orocovis, Aibonito ) called " empleita " to the dreaded 40 centipedes; quilópodo ). Possibly derived from the old Spanish used on the island, this name seems to be given to the quilópodo due to its resemblance with some woven or plaited straw were known as empleita.
