charita
  11

Actually, "charita" is a decomposition of the word "Achará" and its diminutive "Acharita". It has several possible origins. For example, Achara, with stress on its penultimate syllable, is synonymous with pickle. It is also possible that it is a decomposition of the verb acharar whose meaning is to shame. In Andalusian it has meaning of Disgust; in Caló is derived "Jacharar" and means to heat so it is interesting its relationship of concepts between the Caló and the Andalusian. Therefore, there is logic that achará has strong connections with the verb in Castilian of acharar and its associations with the Caló and Andaluz, its association with the pickle may be due to the smell of this that would make believe that the food was spoiled.
