Pardo, is a very old surname of Sephardic Jewish origin, coming from Sagunto, Valencia, and that derives from the Greek and Latin pardus meaning leopard, to later change to the Spanish Pardo meaning brown and referring to the color of the feline, in Latin 'Panthera pardus' (leopard).
