Haides, formed by the fidelity, see root, and custodial, denotes a place invisible, hidden and dark; It is therefore similar to the term hell. The derivations of sheol are dubious. Generally it is assumed that it comes from the Hebrew root meaning do sink into be empty do;?? Consequently denotes a cave or a place under the Earth.Hell ( infernus ) in its theological usage is the place of punishment after death.
