Expertise is the activity carried out by persons specially qualified by their experience or their technical, artistic and scientific knowledge concerning facts relevant to the process, whose causes or consequences must be determined; thus contributing to the judge, their experiences, technicalities and value judgments that will allow it to determine and assess the existence, truth or falsity of the facts discussed at trial and which have been the subject of the expert examination, this being their main purpose, i.e., giving the judge the expertise of the special knowledge.
