FATTY acid: it is a molecule consisting of a long hydrocarbon chain with a terminal acid function, of which there are several varieties in the human body, which are the constituents of fats and lipid molecules. Some fatty acids are not synthesized by the body and must be supplied by the food; they are called essential.
