quzman . ( Del ár. Hisp. zajál , song in dialect, and this of the ar. clás. ( zagal , pomp, joyful noise). 1. m. Strophic composition of the Spanish metric, of Arab origin. It consists of a thematic opening verse, or chorus, and a variable number of stanzas composed of three monorhythmic verses followed by another verse's rhyme constant equal to the chorus.
