Meaning of zapirón

zapirón: 1º_ It is a name that is used to call a cat. Although there is a popular tradition that supposes him the father of all cats because he traveled on the Ark and was saved from the Universal Flood, he actually has his literary origin in "Maese Zapirón or The Cat in Boots."
