It is a Hebrew word that means "God-given" or "God's gift". It is the name of a Christian band called Zabad Ministry of the Pentecostal Church. She was also a name of male Hebrew origin, of several characters in the Holy Bible. The most important might be: A son of Nathan, of the seed of Judah. A son of Tahath, the seed of Ephraim and a son of Ahlai, soldier of King David. They called also Zabad, three Israeli children of Hazun. Nebo and Zatu, respectively (at the time of Ezra).
