Meaning of zabache

It's a word of Nahuatl origin. It means "the one who goes to 7 tombs". In many Catholics it is tradition, on Good Friday, to visit seven tombs in the manner of penance for the death of Jesus Christ and in the spirit of atoning for sins. In the State of Oaxaca in Mexico, there is a municipality called San Andrés Zabache.
