It is the plural of Walquiria or Valkyrie. Aside from the Germanic deities, it is a woman's name. In Colombia, there is a very beautiful and famous singer called Olga Walquiria Sanchez, who is the daughter of a great composer Tolimense, José Faxir Sánchez. The Walquirias, is also a piece of music by Richard Wagner, also known as the parade of the Walquirias, and is part of an Opera of the same name.
