Meaning of walkietalkie

Danilo Enrique Noreña Benítez

walkietalkie
  11

It is used more separately walkie talkie. It is the English name for portable radio transceivers. It can be called in Spanish portable communicator or portable receiver transmitter. It has the drawback or limitation that the channel only works one-way while one speaks the other (or others) is (n) muted (s) to listen, in a system called a semi-duplex channel. It initially had military uses.

It seems to me that it is not written that way even in English, where walkie-talkie is better used. See walkie talkie.
