In Colombia it is the name of a herbaceous plant that produces edible tubers. Its scientific name is Ullucus tuberosus and it belongs to the Family Basellaceae. It is also called Olluco, ruba, chugua, melloco or papa lisa.
It's a salsolacea plant that gives an edible potato-like tuber, in Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru. -
