Uabayo: Plant apocinacea African, sort of acocantera, in whose juice poison their arrows the Hottentots.

It is known as Ouabayo, waabaayo or ouabaio. It is the common name of two plants of the Apocynaceae family: one is the Strophanthus gratus and the other is a shrub, the Acokanthera schimperi or Acokanthera ouabaio. Both plants can be removed the ouabain which is a powerful cardiac Glycoside. These plants are considered to be toxic. The word Waabaayo in Somali means poisoned arrow.
