In Colombia it is one of the names by which an indigenous people is known that is concentrated on the border with Panama. It means person. They are also called Guns, Cuns, Kunas. In botany it is another way of calling the belfry or reed. Its scientific name is Schoenoplectus acutus and belongs to the Cyperaceae family.
