1º_ 'Tucu Tucu' is a place of Rio Chico in the province of Santa Cruz (Argentina). It is also known as "Tucu-Tucu". 2º_ Common name of an insect of the genus Pyrophorus, which emits a light like the firefly. It may be of Diaguita origin where 'tucu' means 'bright, luminous'. See tagüinches, cocuyos. 3º_ Rodent of the genus Ctenomys, also called tuco tuco or tucutuco. 4º_ 'Los Tucu Tucu' was the name of a Tucuman folk group from Argentina.
