Thucydides is incorrectly written, and should be written as "Thucydides" being its meaning: Thucydides, Greek Thoukydides, was the first historian " 34 scientist; human history, author of "The 34 Peloponnesian War; between Athenian and Spartan for Greek hegemony. It recounts the events showing evidence, establishing relationships of cause and effect and without recourse to the intervention of the gods, as does, for example, Homer in the Iliad and the Odyssey. He held positions of public responsibility in the Athens of the fifth century b. C.
