Aquatic plant that takes place in waters just deep, on the banks of ponds and uplands. It has a Rhizome creeping, coarse, fleshy and with numerous scales, nestled in the mud. Resembling a common clover leaves are larger and more fleshy them with a sheath and a long petiole allows the plant to rest on the surface of the water.
